Reasoning and hypothesis of engineering - Essay Example In this manner, it examines the underlying foundations of this wonder, and studies the various stages it has been and is experiencing and its physical spread and impact also. That is, it takes a visit through the two changes after some time just as spatially. The attention is fundamentally on the design of Buddhist sanctuaries, especially those found in China. Notwithstanding, as the peruser will come to know, if not known as of now, in Buddhism there is an assortment of structures that are considered as strict or otherworldly spaces other than sanctuaries. A contextual analysis is made of the Baima Si, which is the White Horse Temple in the Henan area of China. This sanctuary (Si) was picked for its chronicled importance, as will be clarified later, just as the way that it speaks to an extraordinary amalgamation of structural styles. It likewise worked as a model for other such structures and subsequently assumed a vital job in embellishment an exceptional influx of intuition on eng ineering, which causes it to merit genuine consideration. For contrastive purposes, significant correlations are likewise drawn with design highlights having a place with Buddhist sanctuaries somewhere else on the planet, particularly in other Far Eastern nations that are heartlands of Buddhism. Furthermore, a few examinations are likewise featured between Buddhist engineering and what is found in different strict structural articulations, particularly of Christian, Hindu and Islamic starting point. After the recognizing and other exceptional highlights are distinguished for Chinese Buddhist sanctuaries, an endeavor is then made to clarify these and the way of thinking behind them. Buddhist design In Buddhism, in spite of the fact that the sanctuary is the principle place for otherworldly practices, there are likewise other profound spaces. These are the pagodas, which are towers like more extensive based minarets, stupas, which are arch molded landmarks, and caves, which are cavern s utilized for explicit profound practices inside a progressively secluded condition. They are for the most part blessed and made to be peaceful and quiet. The sanctuaries work more as religious communities for aggregate practices. Undoubtedly, Buddhist way of thinking has been portrayed as the best stimulus behind strict craftsmanship and engineering in China (Phuoc, 2010). At first, Buddhism was polished in common settings in China, for example, people’s houses, however as request developed, at that point uncommon structures were built. These structures end up being unmistakably more intriguing than the Confucian and Taoist spots and wealthy in engineering point of interest mirroring a similarly more extravagant way of thinking. Hindu and Islamic methods of reasoning of design share some shared trait with Buddhist engineering. The Hindu impact is for the most part obvious in the early sanctuaries. In this way, there is an immediate association with Hindu design as they offe red roots to Buddhist engineering. Associations with different religions are increasingly roundabout. A noticeable style of Christian engineering was Gothic design during the medieval period. This was connected with academic way of thinking (Radding and Clark, 1994) in which there was an endeavor to build up a far reaching and coordinated answer for different assignments including the development of chapels. A fascinating equal is drawn between the thoughts of St. Thomas Aquinas who was one of these previously mentioned thinkers and Buddhist design in that he considered places of worship to be representing paradise on earth. This is comparable somehow or another to the Buddhist idea of paradise yet with some basic contrasts. While just a single paradise is visualized in Christianity

Legalization of Marijuana Essay Thesis Example For Students

Legitimization of Marijuana Essay Thesis The motivation behind this paper is to examine cannabis and analyze the two sides of the issue of sanctioning maryjane. We have two groups battling one another; one the individuals who are star weed and the individuals who are hostile to cannabis. These two groups have been battling on this issue on the lobbies of equity for a considerable length of time. Professional maryjane authorization gatherings, for example, the Physicians Association for AIDS Care, National Lymphoma Foundation contend that cannabis ought to be legitimized so as to treat in critical condition patients. Among them are AIDS casualties who find that weed invigorates their hungers so they can ward off risky gauntness; glaucoma victims who have utilized weed said it has kept them from going visually impaired, and malignant growth patients for whom it eases the extreme sickness that is frequently goes with chemotherapy and here and there makes lifesaving treatment inconceivable. Because of all these campaigning bunches which show subeztial proof that maryjane can be utilized as an endorsed medicate. Additionally numerous backers who are professional weed whine that morphine and cocaine are legitimate and are hazardous medications, that raises the inquiry why not sanction cannabis as clinical medication which is demonstrated to be less risky than cocaine and morphine. Campaigning bunches in a San Diego, California , gathering panel collectively casted a ballot to ask president Bill Clinton and congress to end government limitations against the utilization of weed for legitiment clinical use. City chamber ladies Christine kehoe said she needed the city of San Diego to go on the record we bolster the clinical use maryjane.; cannabis can be a medication of need in the treatment of AIDS, glaucoma, malignancy and different sclerosis. Numerous offices which are against pot, for example, Drug Enforcement Agency and police divisions contend that weed shouldnt be sanctioned. These organizations accept that pot shouldnt be legitimized in such a case that maryjane is to become lawful then thousands additional patients utilizing cannabis. At that point individuals will bring up the issue why maryjane illicit at all if its a medication. The fundamental motivation behind why the Drug Enforcement Agency doesnt need pot to be legitimate is on the grounds that t heir is no in-your-face proof that demonstrates that cannabis is a compelling medication as a medication. In twenty years of research have delivered no dependable logical confirmation that maryjane has clinical worth. The American Cancer Society , American Glaucoma Society, the National Multiple Sclerosis, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, or the American Medical Association , state that their is no proof that pot is a medication. The organizations additionally contends that no other medication endorsed is smoked and that realized discoveries show that weed is intensely destructive to AIDS, Cancer patients in light of the fact that the dynamic fixing in weed intensely diminishes the bodies white platelets which ward off disease. The Drug Enforcement Agency alongside police divisions everywhere throughout the United States accept, with the authorization of medications wrongdoing will increment because of a higher increment of pot clients which will inevitably become addicts will in any case or murder so as to get their medications. These are the central matters and reasons why the Drug named maryjane shouldnt be legitimized in the United States of America. Seeing stall sides of the issue I arrive at a resolution that cannabis ought to be legitimized so as to help individuals experiencing fatal maladies, for example, AIDS, Cancer and Glaucoma. Preclusion of weed over the previous decades hasnt deminshed the interest of the medication in the United States. The utilization of weed has intensely went up because of the mass consideration given to weed by rappers, for example, Cypress Hill who advance the utilization of pot as a social medication. In any case, I accept that pot is setting down deep roots in our general public and is just experiencing the phases that liquor had during the denial time. Pot will get legitimate because of the knew organization which is liberal and whos pioneer, president Bill Clinton who had intensely utilized weed during the ninetee n sixties. Because of every one of these variables pot will turn out to be all the more generally acknowledged by the American individuals who will constrain congress to change the laws on the medication cannabis. Presently it won't be long until campaigning bunches compel the lawmaking body to legitimize it. Because of authorization numerous states will have the option to develop weed as a money crop, and the United States government will have the option to burden pot and make income off it. The income produced using pot will be in the millions which can be utilized for tranquilize recoveries and against medicate programs focused at basic kids. Still by observing the two sides of the issue Im still 100% star weed since I use it socially and I accept its less unsafe than brew or alcohol on the grounds that with pot you cannot overdose. .ub978e655f0811605ac585d698125958b , .ub978e655f0811605ac585d698125958b .postImageUrl , .ub978e655f0811605ac585d698125958b .focused content zone { min-tallness: 80px; position: relative; } .ub978e655f0811605ac585d698125958b , .ub978e655f0811605ac585d698125958b:hover , .ub978e655f0811605ac585d698125958b:visited , .ub978e655f0811605ac585d698125958b:active { border:0!important; } .ub978e655f0811605ac585d698125958b .clearfix:after { content: ; show: table; clear: both; } .ub978e655f0811605ac585d698125958b { show: square; change: foundation shading 250ms; webkit-progress: foundation shading 250ms; width: 100%; obscurity: 1; change: darkness 250ms; webkit-change: haziness 250ms; foundation shading: #95A5A6; } .ub978e655f0811605ac585d698125958b:active , .ub978e655f0811605ac585d698125958b:hover { murkiness: 1; change: mistiness 250ms; webkit-progress: mistiness 250ms; foundation shading: #2C3E50; } .ub978e655f0811605ac585d698125958b .focused content territory { width: 100%; position: relativ e; } .ub978e655f0811605ac585d698125958b .ctaText { outskirt base: 0 strong #fff; shading: #2980B9; text dimension: 16px; textual style weight: striking; edge: 0; cushioning: 0; content adornment: underline; } .ub978e655f0811605ac585d698125958b .postTitle { shading: #FFFFFF; text dimension: 16px; text style weight: 600; edge: 0; cushioning: 0; width: 100%; } .ub978e655f0811605ac585d698125958b .ctaButton { foundation shading: #7F8C8D!important; shading: #2980B9; fringe: none; outskirt sweep: 3px; box-shadow: none; text dimension: 14px; text style weight: intense; line-stature: 26px; moz-fringe span: 3px; content adjust: focus; content embellishment: none; content shadow: none; width: 80px; min-tallness: 80px; foundation: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/modules/intelly-related-posts/resources/pictures/straightforward arrow.png)no-rehash; position: total; right: 0; top: 0; } .ub978e655f0811605ac585d698125958b:hover .ctaButton { foundation shading: #34495E!important; } .ub978e655 f0811605ac585d698125958b .focused content { show: table; stature: 80px; cushioning left: 18px; top: 0; } .ub978e655f0811605ac585d698125958b-content { show: table-cell; edge: 0; cushioning: 0; cushioning right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-adjust: center; width: 100%; } .ub978e655f0811605ac585d698125958b:after { content: ; show: square; clear: both; } READ: Should the US end tranquilize forbiddance Essay

I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings Essay Topics

I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings Essay TopicsAn I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings series is a series of essays written by Michael Kasumian. They are meant to challenge the reader with some basic and commonly asked questions on animal psychology, and in this series, Kasumian focuses on the psychology of the domesticated animal, namely the cage and the bird cage.He starts his series by pointing out that the basic question of animal behavior (i.e. why do they do it) is a very important one, because it can help us to answer our own fundamental questions, like why we make decisions, why we feel pain and what it means for a living thing to be domesticated. However, even in looking at the question of why do they do it, it is not the most important question; it is, however, the only one that is asked of all other questions regarding the nature of the human being. As such, the I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings series focuses more on its questions than on the answers. The series consists of five essa ys, each addressing a different theme (domestication, ontogeny, learning, self-preservation and romance). The theme chosen for each essay is based on questions Kasumian has considered important over the years. Some of them are: What is the purpose of animal behaviors? How do domesticated animals learn? Do they need socialization in order to survive and live happy lives? Do they need to form bonds or relationships with humans in order to survive? The essays cover some of these and many more, with several of them addressing specific questions about animals in general. One of the more important part of the series, of course, is the introduction; it contains some important information that is important to know before taking any of the essays. The introduction also offers some links to other important sources on the topic of domestication. These sources include things like Wikipedia, a book called 'The Logic of Domestication' and other good sources. In addition, the essays themselves are fa ctually incorrect facts challenged, and readers will have to read and think and evaluate things critically in order to answer the questions that are asked in each essay. Ultimately, one must choose whether to believe a given truth as valid or as not; the I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings series gives people the chance to make that choice.

09/09/2013 Assignment 1 1. What do you think of traditional Hmong birth practices (pp. 3-5)? Compare them to the techniques used when Lia was born (p. 7). How do Hmong and American birth practices differ? I find the traditional birth practices peculiar and very unsafe. The conceiving of a child should be done in a sterile environment by professionals, so that the risks of negative effects like infections, wounds, etc. is minimized. Nevertheless I think the tradition, that the placenta is buried by the father, so that the soul can return to it’s first jacket, in order to continue it’s after death journey, is a wonderful way of believing what comes after death. There is a tremendous difference between dealing with the Hmong and dealing with anyone else. An infinite difference (p. 91). What does he mean by this? While the language barrier became very obvious to them as the Hmong language has very long descriptions for even the simplest words, the cultural barrier lead to a cultural bias in regards of western medicine. Hmong patients expected to be released of the ER with any kind of medicine they wouldn’t need. One aspect that made it even harder was that pregnant Hmong women preferred to stay at home till the really last moment, so that often Hmong children were born in the parking lot or the elevator. Things you do to keep fit

Things you do to keep fit Free Online Research Papers Keeping fit means keeping you in a good form, and it includes body, mind and spiritual health. These three elements we have to take care of are the base of living a healthy life, for being able to live it fully. One thing you can do for your body’s health is trying to do sports. You can try jogging, swimming, roller-skating, dancing etc. This helps you control your weight and brings your metabolism to a normal level. It’s very important to give your body the best treatment because health is on top of anything else. You can’t enjoy life as much if you’re an unhealthy person. Besides sports, there are also other methods of keeping your body fit. There are some pills made from natural elements on the market that can help you, and you can also take vitamins and medications when you feel sick. Another good thing for your body is not becoming dependent of smoking, drugs or alcohol. As for your mental health, it all consists in reaching to the ‘happy’ level. You must have enough rest to be able to concentrate on work or other activities. Sleeping enough is very important but there are also other methods you can apply, for example playing chess helps you improve your concentration, while playing pool stimulates your ambition. Watching good movies, documentaries, reading books are also sources of knowledge and can help you keep your mind healthy and rich. Spiritual health is also very important. To avoid depression you can learn how to calm down in hard situations by listening to good music, doing things you like. Friends can help you with advices; their presence in your life is the key for feeling accomplished, for a good spiritual life. Having someone close to you who sustains you makes you confident. If I were to refer about myself, I can say I like keeping fit and I’m following pretty much of the advices I mentioned earlier. For having a healthy body I take vitamins and dancing when I’m alone in the room (you don’t have to be a dancer to know dancing). For my mental health I learn a lot, face with difficult exams and have to be concentrated. My spiritual life is full of music, friends and joy and hope to be like that forever. There are also moments you keep these three elements on a bad level, but you can’t always keep you body, mind and spirit on good levels, although it worth’s trying. Exam question - Coursework Example p-k encryption is more protected from cryptanalysis than conventional encryption. However, the security of any system depends on key length and the computational work engaged in breaking the cipher. In addition, the p-k encryption has superseded single key encryption. This is unlikely because of the increased processing power required . For conventional encryption, the same key is used for encryption and decryption. This means that it is feasible to develop a cryptographic system that relies on one key for encryption and a different key that is related for decryption. Additionally, these algorithms have the following important characteristics such as it is computationally infeasible to find out the decryption key when provided with only the knowledge of the algorithm and the encryption key. In addition to this some algorithms such as RSA, exhibits the following characteristics: Either of the two related keys can be used for encryption, while the other can also be used for decryption. 2. The implementation of a â€Å"covert channel† is a popular technique for subverting security safeguards. Two approaches to this method involve implementing â€Å"storage† or â€Å"timing† channels. Describe how such channels could be implemented in an actual system, and suggest ways in which the presence of such channels can be detected. Computers originally are made to ease the exchange of information. Latest information technology infrastructure has the central computers main framework ,while others do not develop into a personal computer. Additionally, the information revolve around and is opened in new avenues of IT ( Kim & Solomon, 2012).. This has also opened new possibilities for crimes. Body Piercings Essay Example for Free

Body Piercings Essay In this ever fast and changing world, body piercings are evolving quickly. We see more people wearing body jewelry. The question is how did they make their decisions? Did they do the research and look at the risks associated with it? Do they know what the piercings symbolize? Or where they are from? Where they pressured into piercings? Do they know exactly what they want in their lives? The decision of body piercing depends on how one was brought up or if one was peer pressured in to it. Body piercing is a decision that one person makes on their own based on ones beliefs, and feelings as well as cultural differences. There are many facial body piercings that can be worn, and many that have been used throughout history. The nose piercing is the most popular of the piercings historically. Tongue piercings are now commonly seen everyday. â€Å"It is originally said to be a Ritual form by ancient Aztecs, Mayas of Central America and the Haida Tribes.† (1998)(Morrison, C) Ear Piercing was common among many cultures throughout history. Ear Piercing is the most common piercing performed in America, and the one society accepts the most. The first recorded body found with ear piercings was said to be over five thousand years old and it was found in Austria. During different periods of time, it was common for men to wear fashionable earrings, for instance William Shakespeare wore elaborate earrings for more attention. The labret piercing is also something that is performed on many people. This is the piercing that is below the lip and above the chin. The eyebrow piercing is also something that was used in India as well. One of the most popular piercing with teens is the navel piercing. The navel piercing became a big fad in 1953 when the bikini was invented. The Nipple piercings is something that has been around for many years. Both men and woman have participated in having their nipples pierced. Nipple piercings dates back to the times of, Roman Centurions who had their nipples pierced for the armor that they wore. Many cultures have used nipple piercings as well, in Paris many women had their nipples pierced because it is said to make them larger, and more sensitive. There are many kinds of body piercings particularly set for both women and men, some piercings can better ones love life. The genitals piercings are a part of the body that gets pierced and is a growing in trend. The most common male genital piercing would be the Prince Albert Piercing; this particular piercing was named after Prince Albert, husband of Queen Victoria of England. This piercing was created because Prince Albert’s pants were to snug in the groin area so they created a hook per say for the piercing to be connected to as to keep from having an unsightly bulge in the pants. This particular piercing can also increased sexual stimulation for both men and women. There are many several other male genital piercings, most are very similar. Fraendulum, foreskin, palange, and apadrauya, guiche, and hafada are all other male genital piercings. The piercing that women can get would be called the Clitoris hood, this piercing is said to increase sexual stimulation. There are many important things to think about when deciding to get ones body pierced. Where is one going to get it? Is it important to go to a licensed professional? What would the risk be if deciding on having a friend do it? There are many other factors to consider when one decides on getting ones body pierced. Dose one think that getting ones labret or nose pierced might interfere with ones career goals? Or as a parent would one want his/her children to grow up thinking it was alright? Some people also stop to think about what it is going to do to their body, and how it will affect them when they get older. Making the decision is important for one to make based on the facts, not from the opinions of others. There are many religious views when it comes to body piercing and each one is a little different. The views in the Bible about body piercings are very interesting to many people. The Bible Speaks of many different things throughout its scriptures. I found a few interesting scriptures in my research I felt were important to include. â€Å"Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the Lord.† (1998) (Miller, B) that particular scripture was found in 19:28 Leviticus. The Bible also speaks about self mutilation being against the fifth commandment. The fifth commandment is based on the Catholic views. Religion is something that many people should think about when deciding on getting their body pierced. Taking care of ones piercing is very important. Piercings are considered open wounds until they fully heal, and healing can take a lengthy amount of time depending on the particular piercing. Healing time differs for many of the piercings available; however there are many things that a person can do to prevent one from getting an infection. Practicing good hygiene is a must; this is something that everyone should practice every day. There are some things that one should not do after getting a new piercing. Avoid contact between anyone else’s open wounds or body fluids around the pierced area. Smoking can be a problem if one decided to get an oral piercing. Cleaning a piercing several times a day is always essential to keep it from getting infected. Infections can be very painful and could cause one to have to remove the piercing as well. There are many risks associated with body piercings; one could possibly have an allergic reaction to particular metals which most body jewelry is made from. When one gets initial body jewelry it is almost always going to be a metal jewelry. Infection is a huge risk that can cause one to have to remove the piercing in order to get the infection out. People can get a viral infection from the misuse of body piercing tools. Piercing guns are capable of spreading HIV, hepatitis A, B, and C. This is why it is extremely important to go to a licensed professional body piercing studio. The licensed professional knows the proper cleaning and piercing techniques to keep this situation from happening. Making sure that one keeps their body jewelry clean is very important even once the piercing has healed, because one could still get an infection. Sharing body jewelry could possibly lead to spreading both bacterial and viral infections, which could lead up to something as bad as Hepatitis. This is also something that one might want to think about before making an ultimate decision on getting their body pierced. There are many reasons in which a person should weigh the pros and cons before making a quick and rash decision. Body piercings are not forever, but they can leave scars both physically, and emotionally. Taking ones time is important when making the decisions that include so many big health risks. Piercings are perceived as both an art form and a mistake depending on the different people who one might talk to, and their knowledge of the subject. Peer pressure can be hard to work through, Try to make ones own choices. It is ones own life as an adult to make any life altering or body altering decisions.

unnatural Exposure Essay -- essays research papers

Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  For part of my independent study I read the book Unnatural Exposure, by Patricia Cornwell. The book is a murder mystery with a large focus on the forensic aspects of the investigation. The main character in the book is Dr. Kay Scarpetta, a medical examiner form Virginia. She is always the first person to arrive at the morgue and the last to leave.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  As the book begins, Dr. Scarpetta is called to a crime scene at a garbage dump in Virginia. When she gets there she soon realizes that it must be a horrific scene because everyone there was almost in shock. She walked up to the taped off area and started understanding why everyone was in so much shock. The body at the crime scene was nothing but a decomposing torso. The person’s legs, arms, and head had been cut off. They had found the body when a tractor was spreading the trash around. After examining the entire crime scene, Dr. Scarpetta bought the body back to the morgue to look at it closer. She preformed an autopsy and found out that the body was a woman, older, and had a petite frame. The search for the murderer began.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  The investigation started with interviews of the people at the dump but that turned up nothing. It almost seemed like this was a dead end case, until DEA...

Smoking is an expensive habit. Smokers’ claim that it helps relax them and relieves stress but there are more negative effects of smoking outweigh the positive effects. Essay on Tools of The Central Banks - 841 Words

Interest rates are a tool that central banks use to implement monetary policy. They represent the percentage rate at which interest is paid by a borrower for the privilege of using money that has been lent to them and the interest can be paid at various time intervals. Higher interest rates will have an impact upon inflation and employment and could lead to a reduction in consumer spending and investment. The Bank of England meets every month to set the UK bank rate. There are nine members of the Committee and they are appraised of all the latest data on the economy and business conditions. Their task is to keep inflation below 2% but above 1% in the following 2 years. In the UK the current rate of interest, also known as the base rate,†¦show more content†¦Charlie Bean has suggested that any rises are in baby steps in order to avoid making mistakes. In other words he thinks the Bank should be cautious - this could entail raising rates soon - but at a smaller rate than has been implemented in the past, for instance at a rate of increase of 0.1% instead of the previous normal rate of 0.25%. It is generally accepted that low interest rates are inflationary and the Bank will be watching for early signs that this is happening and try to move interest rates up early to forestall it. Generally they would raise interest rates if they were concerned that inflation was on the increase in order to reduce demand and slow the rate of economic growth. At the present time there are no signs that inflation is picking up with the latest CPI figure coming in at 1.8% which may be attributable to the output gap. Interest rate movements have the largest impact for individuals on savings, mortgages and annuities, whilst for businesses it impacts the level of demand, interest on loans and the present value of assets and liabilities. Over the last 5 years savers have been badly hit by the low level of interest rates. This has been particularly hard for pensioners with savings. Higher interest rates would make it more attractive to save cash in deposit accounts as the level of interest received would be higher than at present, thus reducing the need to take on extra risk toShow MoreRelatedConventional and Unconventional Tools Used by Central Banks, A Basic Study Guide1320 Words   |  5 Pagesunconventional tools used by central banks. The Dilemmas Of The World - 1578 Words

The world we live in is filled to the brim with possibility, constantly allowing for a number of upsets and unknowns that plague our being. Amidst all that we cannot know for sure, we always strive for certainty, for a support system that assures us that there is something that we can know without doubt. Without this scrap of certainty, it would be miraculous to make it through the day intact as a person with a complex system of beliefs. All of the unknowns that surround us threaten our knowledge and our beliefs if we don’t know how to approach them. Our sense of being-in-the-world is defined by how we understand what surrounds us—we must either reconcile it according to that which we believe or reconfigure our system of knowledge to allow†¦show more content†¦In regards to Candide and Pangloss, two prevalent characters in Voltaire’s Candide, or Optimism, their philosophy requires them to approach the unknown and incomprehensible with unshakeable devotio n to their belief: all is for the best. They interpret the unknown and in such a way that it seems to be evidence to support their philosophy, even if it ought to disrupt their understanding of the world. This indestructible philosophic lens allows Candide and Pangloss, at one point, to determine the death of their friend and benefactor, the Anabaptist, as proof of their convictions. His death in the port of Lisbon lead Pangloss to claim simply that â€Å"Lisbon harbor had been created expressly so that the Anabaptist could drown it† (Voltaire , 15). Pangloss has already decided that any of the horrors that occur in the world are necessarily for the best. The inexplicable tragedies build the frame on which the best of all possible worlds is created and maintained. This kind of philosophy is already broad enough to cover not only what is known and understandable, but also the future and the phenomena of the world—Everything must be good, whether it can be proven or not. In this way, Candide and Pangloss are successful in terms of preserving their intactness as people, but in doing so they deny the event of idea its own character. The government has a certain law to make the alternate social relying and that may indicate the poetical enduring force for the shared world. The aim of the paper is to determine the possible narrative of the politics and figure out the poetries that influence the political aspect of the personal justice (Harde). There are certain phrases and social structures that widen the separation of sins in past and through the moment of capable judgment; the unrest economic justice prevails in the poetry. The political argument and poetical invocation conflict have begun form the early Eighteenth century. The war poetry is one of those verses that emphasize on the judgmental issue and those emphases the revenge feeling for the warriors. The journal has impacted over the theoretical challenges that present in these conventions. The war mythology of poem represents the religious supremacy and emphasize on the deployment of the poetry. The ethical consideration for the political meaning has evoked the sympathetic feeling as well. The weep out process for the Spanish and the interned attack of the British or their desire to make a war is the collecting issue that versed in the poetry (Richardson). In the war poetry of 1740's and the public sphere case of influencing is the prime motivation that can be derived from the poetry. There is certain political argument that has been done in the resourcing of supernatural mythology and religion perspective, however, the most revenging motivational assessment has been provided by the poetry and that expresses the best feeling of determination as well. The poetry has dealt with the secular event and that encompasses all the feeling of every religion and this is the most challenging session of these matters to make the obscure participation of each religion as well. The fictional term of lyrical poetry completely opposed to the factual elements in the constructive poetry issues. The novels, stories have the possible implication over the world knows as well and such poetries have the specific highlighted manner over the political issues over the country and their surroundings. The significant difference between poetic genre and the abbreviated concern over the emotion, imagination and condensed feeling provide a missing link if the narrative elements are not discussed in the proper way. For such cases, critical review over the dramas and fictions are essential as they are the probable justification of the narration that poet wants to express through the words (Hhn). In the opposition between fictionality and the factuality, the attitudes, emotions and inventive projection are the controversial elements of discussion that contain the entity for the unquestionable significance of the poetry. The poem is also strengthened the cultural capital of improving condition that provides the edge of supporting the campaign for the resistance immigrants. Poetries are telling the story about the Yiddish-speaking world and that provides to explore the revolution of the poverty-stricken immigrants. They are the outsiders in this poem and the sectional work over the cultural assimilation impacted over the situation as well. The handful translation over the process also highlighted the narrated intensive of socialist poetry for the immigrant poor people revolution. During the period of apartheid South African poetry has alienated over the morals of poetry. At the democratic election of 1994, the progression of poetry and the critical implication of them have evolved in a radical manner so that interstices of the black and white poetics have the power to write up against the modern practices. These narrative poems are the relic of the displacement and that create the good practices issue of violence and war. The political influence is one of the major issue the affect the poems as well and that divide the recurring of decades in the 1960s and 1970s. Comparing and Contrasting NCUs Concept Paper Requirements for Qualitative and or Quantitative Papers Example For Students

Comparing and Contrasting NCUs Concept Paper Requirements for Qualitative and or Quantitative Papers The theoretical discipline of philosophy is broken down into five facets. (1) Logic, that details the rules of an argument, and distinguishing valid from invalid forms of argument; (2) Ethics, and its distinction between right and wrong, good or evil, moral or immoral; (3) Epistemology, which is the nature of knowledge, what it is, how we know, and what is the truth? (4) Aesthetic, that takes into account the nature of beauty and art; and (5) Metaphysics, reality and what we consider to be real, and does it exists? What does it mean to say that something exists or does not exist? How can we refer to something that does not exist? To satisfy the requirements of completing the discipline of philosophy and other disciplines at Northcentral University, Doctoral students must prepare a dissertation. Part of the dissertation process is to inquire and solve a hypothesis using some form of research method. This paper compares and contrasts NCU’s concept paper requirements for qualitative and or quantitative papers. Northcentral Expectation Both qualitative and quantitative concept designs share design elements. Sampson (2012) states that a good or enriched qualitative and or quantitative concept paper is a product of forethought. Northcentral University (NCU) provides its Doctoral students with writing resources that are not limited to the concept template to enhance their knowledge about the development of their dissertations. Primarily, qualitative and quantitative papers should always have a title, a table of content, an introduction, problem statement, the purpose of the study, and research questions (Northcentral University School of Education, 2010). Secondly, the concept paper should also offer a hypothesis, define key terms, offer literature reviews, and provide research methods used in the paper (Northcentral University School of Education, 2010). Moreover, any concept paper should always specify data collection methods and analysis and offer an operational definition of variables. Additionally, the concept paper should provide measurable variables used and a summary of the report. Lastly, the concept paper should always provide a list of references, bibliographies, and annotated bibliography whenever possible. Different elements of the concept paper should be specific as per the Northcentral University’s requirements. The introduction section should not exceed two paragraphs; the researcher should provide a brief description of the research topic and use scholarly resources to support his or her ideas (Northcentral University, 2013). Still under the introduction, the researcher should provide the statement of the research problem; the researcher should use current not older than 5 years from time of publication scholarly resources to support his or her arguments (Northcentral University, 2013). The introduction section should also provide one paragraph description of the purpose of the study; the purpose statement provides the goal of the study. The purpose statement should also reflect the research questions, the research design, the participants and data sources used, and the geographic position of the study (Northcentral University, 2013). The introduction section should further highlight the research question. Qualitative research questions should match the purpose statement and be open-ended. Qualitative research questions should reflect the qualitative research design. On the other hand, quantitative research questions should be testable, specific, and be directly answerable based on experimental/research data. Nonetheless, the researcher should decide on the research methodology he/she is going to use and state it in the purpose statement as early as possible. This would allow for unique style and choice of component for a specific design. The quantitative research methodologies demand the inclusion of sample sizes and the definition of variables that are used in the research. The researcher should align the sample size to the purpose and the objectives to be met in the long-run. The researcher should identify and associate each variable with research questions and hypotheses (Northcentral University, 2013). The paper should further have a brief description of how each variable will operate in the research. However, the descriptions should be based on reliable and valid published research materials such as peer reviewed journal articles (Northcentral University, 2013). In addition, the introduction section should also provide a hypothesis sub-section. The hypothesis sub-section for quantitative research design should correspond to the research question (Northcentral University, 2013). The hypothesis for the quantitative paper must be presented in a testable, but potentially negatable form with each of its variables operationalized (Northcentral University, 2013). Lastly, the introduction may have a subjection meant for definition of core terms. Nonetheless, the definition of core terms is optional for both qualitative and quantitative concept papers. In other words, both qualitative and quantitative concept papers may or may not have a â€Å"definition of key terms† sub-heading in the introduction. Qualitative and quantitative designs often differ in their data collection/study. Qualitative research uses words and point of view of the research subjects (participants) (Bryman, 2012). However, in qualitative research designs, the research uses words to isolate the main points of view of the research subjects. In other words, qualitative research designs encourage direct contact between the researcher and participants during the study. Flexibility is important in qualitative research designs because the researcher should always ascertain the context of the observations that is made. As such, qualitative research designs require the research to conduct investigations in the participants’ natural settings. On the contrary, the researcher may use numbers to measure the variables in quantitative research designs. Quantitative research often originates from the researcher’s point of view; however, the researcher uses numbers or codes to distance himself/herself from the variables. The researcher further uses theory to inform the research method; the researcher mixes theory and data to make meaning out of the codes or numbers. In most cases, quantitative research design is only applicable in artificial settings; the research process in such cases is often static. As such, quantitative research deigns are meant to generate generalizations about a given theory in the context of a particular context (Bryman, 2012). In other words, quantitative approach often manipulates variables in the context of certain condition to convey change as defined by a particular theoretical framework. However, qualitative and quantitative research designs are similar in a number of ways. First and foremost, both methods employ reductionist method in their interaction with data (Bryman, 2012). As such, the researcher collects large volumes of data which he/she reduces to a reasonable format for interpretation. Secondly, qualitative and quantitative research designs demand the use of research questions to guide the research process. Thirdly, quantitative and qualitative research designs should have a strong correlation with the available literature (Bryman, 2012). Researchers using qualitative and quantitative approaches should focus on the variations exemplified in the literature. As such, qualitative and quantitative research designs are meant to reveal feelings, facts, similarities, and differences in order to support or reject a certain theory. The variations determine the conclusions that are made by the researcher (Bryman, 2014). In other words, researchers using quantitative and/or qualitative research designs conduct literature reviews to enable other researchers realize the importance of the study. The discussion component of the concept paper should always identify the concept or idea studied. The discussion for qualitative research method should use a single idea and or phenomenon, idea or concept (Northcentral University, 2010). The researcher should also define and specify the population he/she is studying. For example, qualitative studies may offer description about the number of participants as well as their geographical location. Qualitative studies should exploit interview guide. The researcher should describe the type of interview he or she is using and provide a sample of questions used in the research. In other words, the researcher should avail enough information to prevent duplication of the research conducted by other individuals or readers (Northcentral University, 2010). In conclusion, concept papers applying qualitative and or quantitative research approaches adhere to the standards set by NCU. The institution often offers the concept paper template to help Doctoral students improve their skills in writing dissertation. Qualitative and quantitative research designs are similar in outline, but unique in the way they approach the research process. The major difference between qualitative and quantities research approaches is in the treatment of variables and data collection. Qualitative approaches use the participants’ words and feelings to generate conclusions; the research is set in natural settings. However, quantitative research approaches often manipulate numbers and codes in the participants’ unnatural settings to determine researcher’s conclusions. Northcentral University expects Doctoral students to be familiar with the differences and similarities of either qualitative and or quantitative research approaches when writing their final dissertations. .uf4583012a74ce03669b2e9cb7742f296 , .uf4583012a74ce03669b2e9cb7742f296 .postImageUrl , .uf4583012a74ce03669b2e9cb7742f296 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .uf4583012a74ce03669b2e9cb7742f296 , .uf4583012a74ce03669b2e9cb7742f296:hover , .uf4583012a74ce03669b2e9cb7742f296:visited , .uf4583012a74ce03669b2e9cb7742f296:active { border:0!important; } .uf4583012a74ce03669b2e9cb7742f296 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .uf4583012a74ce03669b2e9cb7742f296 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .uf4583012a74ce03669b2e9cb7742f296:active , .uf4583012a74ce03669b2e9cb7742f296:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .uf4583012a74ce03669b2e9cb7742f296 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .uf4583012a74ce03669b2e9cb7742f296 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .uf4583012a74ce03669b2e9cb7742f296 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .uf4583012a74ce03669b2e9cb7742f296 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .uf4583012a74ce03669b2e9cb7742f296:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .uf4583012a74ce03669b2e9cb7742f296 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .uf4583012a74ce03669b2e9cb7742f296 .uf4583012a74ce03669b2e9cb7742f296-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .uf4583012a74ce03669b2e9cb7742f296:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: The Ever Changing Concept of Health Essay References Bryman, A. 5 Top Tips for NaNoWriMo Blog

5 Top Tips for NaNoWriMo Blog 5 Top Tips for NaNoWriMo It’s November! And for aspiring authors, that means one thing: National Novel Writing Month (or NaNoWriMo for short). The aim is to write a novel at least 50,000 words long in thirty days. And while that might sound ambitious, we have a few tips to help you get there. 1. Sign Up at the NaNoWriMo Website The official NaNoWriMo website provides lots of resources for writers. It also has a system where you can earn badges and track your progress, offering handy targets to keep you motivated. So before you begin writing, sign up and take a look at the tools available. 2. Write Every Day (And Plan for When You Don’t) You have thirty days to write 50,000 words, which works out at roughly 1,666 words per day. This is easily achievable if you put aside time each day to do a bit of writing. Don’t worry if you miss a day, though. The solution is to schedule â€Å"catch up† days when you know you’ll have more time to spare. This will ensure you can make up for days off, or even just boost your word count. Time to get typing!(Image: Kishore D R/YouTube) 3. Connect with Other NaNoWriMo Writers The best thing about NaNoWriMo is that you’re never alone. All around the world, thousands of writers are taking on the same task as you, so why not use this to your advantage? Whether on social media or via the NaNoWriMo forums, you’ll have plenty of chances to discuss the NaNoWriMo experience, as well as sharing tips for hitting that target word count. You can even look for other writers in the same part of the world as you. 4. Take Care of Yourself Just as with The Tortoise and the Hare, slow and steady wins the race when it comes to novel writing. So no matter how jazzed you feel about your novel-in-progress, remember that too many late-night sessions and skipped meals will lead to burnout. The hare stayed up too late writing and cant do anything useful today. Dont be the hare. Instead, make sure to eat healthily, get plenty of rest, and generally take care of yourself.   This will ensure you have enough energy to keep going and hit your target by November 30. 5. Avoid Perfectionism (For Now) It doesn’t matter if what you write isn’t perfect at first. The editing and proofreading comes later. And this is when you can turn your first draft into a polished manuscript ready for publishing. For now, concentrate on getting a first draft finished! Everything else can wait. Summary: 5 Top Tips for NaNoWriMo If you are doing NaNoWriMo this month, keep these tips in mind: Sign up to nanowrimo.org to access handy tools and resources. Try to set aside a time to write every day (and set aside days when you have more time to write in case you miss a day and need to catch up). Get in touch with other NaNoWriMo writers to share ideas and support. Make sure to eat healthily and get plenty of rest to keep your energy up.
